Yes, the sund had just dipped below the horizon. What we loose in daylight-hours during a long dark winter, we gain in the summer, when the sun shines from 04:00 in the morning til 23:00 in the evening around the midddle of June.

Beautiful loooooooong sunsets as well!

But then, bluenose - living in Canada, you would know that and would have the same thing?

No, I have not been out there with a boat. All boats are frozen in as it is. I have not been on my own boat since November 28th!!! But now the ice is slowly retreating here.

But these lobster-pots you see in the pictures have been laying on the docks since New Year - when the lobster-season ended. And they are not my lobster-pots!

BTW - Thank you for your kind comments, Torgny!

"Oh wow" was my first thought...I kept scrolling and could only say "wow" again (as always!). Great shots. I love seeing the same scene under those varying conditions and POVs. Thanks for the effort!

Well, if you mean the same "white thing" in the distance as I am, (the spire-like tower above the island...?) - it is a small light-house. They have red hat's on (the roof is painted brightly, orange-red) but in the picture they are covered with snow and ice...

They are not the large and tall lighthouses you see along the coast (to warn of treacherouse shores) but small navigational-aid sector-lights showing the way within the hundrets of skerries, giving the seafaring look-out a sector to steer by. Sector-ligths are green-white-red and can bee seen for approxim. 10 nautical miles.

So am I, Markus - so am I!!!
I am fed up with this winter as it had lasted so long. Cold and snow since the week befor Christmas - and it is still freezing (below zero) during the nights now.

BTW - Thank you for commenting!

We do have days with extended periods of summer daylight in the far north. Unfortunately my location is much too far south to have experienced it firsthand.
