Default Knee-deep in snow

I hope Spring will manifest itself soon. Would you believe that one lake here in Finland cracked because of the amount of snow and ice on top?? Anyway, take a look at the amount of snow on the dock, it'll be a while before any daffodils will be in bloom. Sorry for the low quality of these photos... you guessed it... it is the phone camera.

Beautiful countryside...reminds me of the Canadian Shield country. Back in around '89, we had a World Trials Event (motorcycles) in the province, where I live. The event was held at the Whiteshell Provincial Park and I recall a Finnish competitor in a newspaper article, remarking how similar this countryside was to rural Finland.

I mean't to add that the pictures are very good, considering they were taken with a telephone camera.

The composition which is independent of the type of camera used...is also very good.

This is why about twenty members have formed a conspiracy to beat Ned with tire irons so that he never gets a DSLR. Who need competing with someone who takes shots like this with a telephone?

LOL! Thanks for the laugh... I have really been RESTRAINING myself from uploading mobile phone pictures... I KNOW the quality of these things are not good... mine allows me to use ISO, exposure compensation, and lots of other goodies in the camera... just to HUMOUR me till I get the DSLR... Again, I don't want to drive anyone around the twist... or I'm liable to find myself up against the wall with a blindfold. Ned

I´ll have to agree with the others. Great photos and especially consider they where taken with a phone.
I´ll love to see what you can do with a DSLR
Best regards/Daniel

i really like the perspective and the lead in in the first shot.

you have a good eye for photography, which you are proving with your cameraphone. get a real camera already and start sharing!!
