Default Sunrise & birds

Such lovely East Tennessee sunrises this week, with all the changing weather of spring... Would be delighted for some critique of these from all the amazing landscape experts here. Thanks!

The first two are solemn relaxing shots...I love the morning also, just as they are...all's they need is a steaming cup of black coffee and me sitting in a chair there! I would saturate them to see what it would bring out or take away...

The BIF if you could get any color at all on the bottom side of the birds by adjusting shadow it would look better to me, still very nice...the two ducks swimming away I like, simple and real life, needs a border around it of some sort? with slight cropping?...

The only other thing I can see wrong is I wasn't with you!

mole,

I like your pictures of the sunrise and the birds. Do you know the names of the birds. The bird of prey i have some idea, but ....

A habit of mine - always want to know the names of birds (and plants) Over here there are only 300 species breeding, making it possible to know their names

I like #1 over #2 when it comes to the sunrise over the lake. More highlights in the clouds and the royal blue is real nice. Well done. #2 is my favorite when it comes to the birds shots. The two birds swiming in the water with the sunrise colors is very nice...

LTZ470 - Thanks so much for your kind & helpful comments. May try to work with those bird shots again, to bring out more detail...

Torgny - Glad you liked them! Yes, I too try to learn all the names, although our species diversity is greater than yours. The birds are: Double Crested Cormorants flying in a crowd, Mallard Ducks on the water, Osprey flying alone...

Ancientritual - Thanks for your specific & very helpful comments!
