Default Space Shuttle Discovery Orbit

The space shuttle was schedule to fly over top Calgary, Alberta this morning at 5:15am and sure enough, there it was.

5dMII, 24 - 70 2.8.

I agree with Ordo -- very impressive! Even without the shuttle #2 looks very nice. I'm glad it worked out for you, that is, the clouds cooperated and gave you a clear shot. I saw the shuttle landing on nasa's website this morning.

(There seems a ghosted image of a dog on #2. I only noticed it because I was admiring every square inch. However, it doesn't affect my appreciation for it.)

wow..
the first pic is so emotional..feels like a lonely world and a lonely soul looking up towards the space shuttle with the last people on the planet, waving goodbye.

second pic is better as a picture, but doesnt leave me with the same emotions. but boy.. it's a very very beautiful piece!

It was quite fun running around the hill and yes, I brought my dog Cody with me. If he wasn't chasing deer he was helping me light paint the big rock, which by the way was dropped off there during the ice age glacial ice flows many moons ago.

These are so impressive Kevin - love the lonely mood that's conveyed in #1 and the beautiful colors in #2!
