Default Mount Norquay, Banff, Alberta

Mount Norquay is the local ski hill just north of Banff and up a switch back mountain road that twists and turns for quite a ways. You certainly don't want to worry about your brakes when your heading back down.

Now if you just turn your body around and look down the mountain, this is what you see! The town of Banff and the most photographed mountain in the area, Mount Rundle, to the left.

such beautiful places you have around you kevin. some really spectacular landscapes.

i think you pulled the shadows on the foreground up a little too much in the first picture, just not enough data there and ends up looking washed out compared to the background. i think you could crop some off the bottom and let the road lead the eye in without needing the wall.

Shutterbug, I feel your pain and hope you make it this way sometime. If you do, make sure you look me up and I'll show you some photo spots

Dustin, at the time I was taking it all in, both the ski "hill" and the town of Banff behind me, the wall was quite interesting but I knew it would be one of those things that people would either like or dislike but the lights of the town was giving me the light I needed to take the shot so I went for it. I've got a couple other photos of the Mount Norquay which I'll look at that I know I do not have the wall in so I may look and see and post it.

Markus, look forward to seeing more of your scenery!

Thanks for commenting everyone!
