Default Finns love their lakes and saunas

This is my nearest neighbour's walkway to the dock, the sauna is just behind me... Finland is filled with beautiful lakes and forest. Many have a "mökki" or summer cottage somewhere on a lake like this.

Yes, Ned,

It's called the country of the thousand lakes, isn't it. But I saw a number: over one hundred thousand

Dessa antal är större än motsvarande antal finländska sjöar som Statens Miljöförvaltning tar upp: 56.000 finländska sjöar över 10.000 kvadratmeter och 188.000 finländska sjöar över 500 kvadratmeter.

56.000 lakes over 10.000 square kilometers - not bad; and 188.000 lakes over 500

Time for a sauna and a bath?

Great blue sky and white stems of the birches - origin of the colours of the Finnish flag?
