Default the elven path

some very large, mossy boulders along the Staircase trail on the Olympic Peninsula of Washington... deep, rich greens and a touch of Orton give this image a bit of a mystical, "fairyland" feel...

Yes, indeed a very beautiful picture. Elves. That light patch is really skilfully handled. (Don't use the fancy words any more since they have become inflated)

thanks, Torgny! it was such a beautiful scene... so rich and verdant... i could just imagine elves there... Tolkien's elves...

Very nice. Sometimes when I run thru the newly grown forest in the spring, the morning suns makes everything green. Like this.

Nice capture. I'm reading a series of Terry Brooks books now (Shannara) - and yes, you've also captured my imagination.
