Default The hard way

This is taken atop Black Bear Pass which descends into Telluride, CO. From here it is maybe 1.5 miles and takes about 1.5 or so hours to get to the bottom.

It was. Wish I lived closer so I could do it again before the snow starts flying. I have wanted to try it for the last three years and finally did it. It is a bit intimidating. The pass is around 12,500 ft and Telluride sits at just under 9,000 ft so it is a pretty good drop in that short distance. TIGHT switchbacks.

The zig zags in the middle of the picture is the trail from the top of Black Bear Pass down into Telluride.

WoW looks longer than the roads in Superior WY that I use to drive in a Barracuda Moon Car with the a kid in the back... just to see the wild horses.
