Thank you for your comment, and yes, the lens used for this was the kit lens.

Thanks for the comments. The subtle colors after the rain is what really appealed to me as well, hopefully i will get some lightning/storm cells in the distance next time. I am not sure what the white residue is either, i know the waves had been crashing it all day, but whatever it is, I think it added a nice contrast to the other colors.

I would have to agree with everyone else an excellent shot. The wave pattern is a very good effect, along with the excellent clarity of the breakwater. Good balance to the shot overall.

Well neighbor, it looks like Lake Erie to me. Very nice capture of an unruly and often unsettled Lake.

thank ya neighbor. i have yet to make up to the Buffalo area (that's where you are at right?), but I aim to make a little trip up the coast sometime, have some chicken wings at Anchor bar and check out Niagara.
