Default World record panorama

LONDON features in world's largest spherical panoramic photo - 80 gigapixel monster !

The photographer constructed the image from 7886 high-resolution individual photos which were then stiched together on a powerful Fujitsu CELCIUS workstation comprising of 6 CPUs and 192GB of RAM.

What a treat for a London-lover like me !

Yes, I was just looking at that yesterday. Definitely an impressive picture, and a lot of fun to zoom in on certain spots.

Dual 6 Core CPUs (not 6 CPUs). ;-)

Here's the press release about it:

Chances are, it was this computer. It can use two 6-core XEON CPUs with support for up to 192GB of memory:

I'll ask Santa for two of them. But, I may get a stocking full of switches instead. :-)
