Default Obelisk & spray - Southend

Hello landscape friends

Well folks, a while since I've posted. Had 3 days camping in South Australia (to 'have a nature break'). Here is one photo I quickly want to share with you from a small coastal township "Southend".

I found this old obelisk very interesting (helped many ships navigate the treacherous area) - however other ships still tragically ran aground (e.g. especially during poor visibility & bad weather).

The spray hitting the rocks nearby adds to that 'risk' feeling, I think.

Will post more in due course. Appreciate any feedback.

Paul

Nice timing on the wave! I like the overall composition as well.

Nice shot. I love ocean landscapes. I agree the composition is just about right.

this is just a classic shot. great contrast from the red and white lighthouse, and good timing on the waves, effectively composed.

Great shot, Paul, the colors are, help me...colorful! No, the three main colors in your shot work very well together, and the saturation is just right, great photo!

Many thanks kind friends

I am very appreciative of your comments - and I'm glad that it 'worked' for you too... I was working quite a lot before taking the snap to get the exposure, timing and composition right... so am especially glad the preparation paid off....

Bynx, just for you I will put a bigger wave on order next time - just definitely smaller than a tsunami!

I love the aqua color of the waves. The sky is blue and the rocks are yellow as they should be so processing to me is perfect.

I can almost smell the salt spray in the air with that shot.
