Default The Morning at Elbow Falls

It was good to get out again after a month of doing other things non photographic. The early morning is my favourite time of day to take photos so I strapped on the boots, had lots of pocket 'hotties' with me and went for a little hike at Elbow Falls in Kananaskis Country, just 30-40 minutes west of Calgary.

On a side note here, check out Darwin's videos of his Winter Photo tours! : http://darwinwiggett.wordpress.com/2...r-photo-tours/

Kevin,

Such great, soft, inviting pictures, almost making the snow, water and ice feel warm

Great that you offer a place for the viewer to stand, especially safe in the first picture

Thank you very much banksy and Torgny. Glad you liked them. I especially liked the long drive down the highway leading to the Falls as I was the first to drive it after it had snowed all night. The plow trucks hadn't worked it yet so there was a 5 inch layer of fresh snow to drive through.

I would not have attempted the shoot if I didn't have 'hotties' with me. Absolutely a necessity in these temps!!

Outstanding work Kevin, especially considering the effort it took to make these photographs. I love the dark tones in the first and the composition in the second.
