Default Backcountry vista

My wife and I went camping this past week near Julian, California...elevation 5,000 ft. This spot in the Cuamaca Mountains looks out over the Anza Borrego Desert to the east. This is in east San Diego County, an area once known for its gold prospecting. Now, Julian is a great place to eat fresh apple pie.

Nice sense of hills movement here. Great framing.

Breathtaking image! It almost look 3D. The depth is amazing. What time of day did you shoot it?

Not the ideal time of day, approximately 11:00 a.m...but nice sky.

I agree, real 3D effect. Love the low puffs of clouds and the DOF. Sure looks like a nice place to eat pie!
