The vikings ate this mushroom in small amounts to get in a state of rage. Had I eaten this one, I wouldn't have felt very well. I might have joined the choir invisible or perhaps been pushing up the daisies

Yes, you're right, it's a Fly agaric (Amanita muscaria), poisonious and psychedelic.

A fab series full of colour - you can almost taste the fruit!! I think the yellow fruits are mirabelles which is a type of plum and a speciality of the Lorraine region in France - but obviously not limited to France.

Thanks. Mirabelle - what a beautiful name. There's a Guinness record for the longest Mirabelle cake, I read. Do you know what this is?
