Fantastic photos -- all in one day?! The last one is dazzling.

Thanks vvcarpio! Yeah, 1 day A friend of mine invited me out to Cali for the weekend of shooting. I couldn't pass it up We had 1 day in Yosemite and 1 day driving along Highway 1. It was fun a weekend!

The last shot was crazy! We were at Tunnel View at 6pm. We couldn't figure out what settings to use till around 8pm LOL We were there with one other photographer. All 3 of us where standing around in the dark LOL The star trail photo below was my first successful frame. 2 hours of fiddle around with my setting in pitch black darkness was not easy but fun I do like the milky way shot better. This took another 30 minutes or so to figure out my settings. It was well worth the 2+ hours of fiddle in the dark

Very nice, cmoy. The panorama is outstanding and the starry sky shot is beautiful. Thanks for sharing those, which also brought by personal memories.

Great images CMOY...beautiful compositions! I visited YNP in 2004, but only had a P&S at the time with me. It was in the springtime and the waterfalls were at their maximum flow! I love the shot of the milky way. Saw it myself when I was at the Grand Canyon in 2009...after seeing the GC, the Milky Way was a great way to finish off the evening and reminded me of our insignificant place in the universe!

Incredible shots, like them all. Was there in May but could not get through the tunnel to the south side because of snow. Would love to return.
