I took a walk on the upper midtown and lower Central Park of Manhattan on account of it being a nice (for photography), cloudy day. These are the sights you'll see.
#1) Carnegie Hall on 57th and 7th. ![]() #2) Alwyn Court on 58th and 7th is one block from Carnegie Hall which is visible on the next block. ![]() #3) Central Park near 59th and 7th Street entrance. ![]() #4) Gapstow Bridge in Central Park. ![]() Thank you for looking. C&C welcome. |

Thank you, banksy.
#5) Few tourists (if at all) venture to the spot where this picture was taken because not only is there no paved path leading to it but it's also just, well, ugly. It forms as a sort of "backyard" to the iron-fenced Wollman Rink and so gives one the feeling of it being a dumpsite. That's unfortunate because it's the ideal spot to take that classic Central Park/New York City skyline photograph.

As always, excellent. I prefer #5, maybe because I'm a country bumkin!

Thank you, Mito.
I'm torn because I like both country and city. That's why I live in the country and work in the city. But then I guess that makes me a city person. Because unlike the other way around, I don't think anyone can honestly say he or she hates the country. #6) Midtown 5th Avenue looking uptown.

Hi vv
I must say I like no5 I guess because I remember one of the scences from criminal intent that might have been done there or very similar. As you live in the country then it must be a fair old hike to get to work. I guess you might need a cut lunch and a waterbag by the time you get to work. No6 is also very interesting coz the veicles almost dissapeared. Actualy I like em all with n5 being my fav.

Thank you, flasha. Yes, it's quite a hike. Yes, I do bring lunch some days of the week and treat myself to some good meals other days. I don't carry a waterbag but I do get concerned about "having to go" during the long ride home (which could extend even further during inclement weather) so no more liquids for me past 3pm. Sorry, was that TMI?
#7) Somewhere inside lower Central Park.
