The moon looks totally fake and photoshoped.

G'day Caryl

Unlike the derisive comment above, may I cc your image...
I like the city view itself - mixture of lighting sources > wonder what WB of tungsten would look like??
As to the moon - it 'almost' looks there, but it doesn't look 100% kosher
I have tried the same idea and technically, you have achieved a better result than me, tho I never could get one that looked 'kosher' - I always seem to get a halo of some sort around the moon

I give you 10/10 for trying and 7/10 for almost succeeding
Regards, Phil

Thank you both for commenting. By separating the sky with the moon from the buildings, I can work on the lighting and get detail in the moon. sometimes I just isolate the moon itself and play with it. but that is the moon and that is where it was.

Caryl,

Another of your cityscapes with skyscrapers from a high vantage point. Much better I think than street perspective. Remember many of them. How do you do it - talk to someone who lives at floor 50?

Citylight meets moonlight

Torgny, it is from my own terrace BUT the best high view in the city is from a window in the handicap stall in the ladies room at the top of the Fairmont hotel. Sometimes I walk into hotels and take the elevator to the top and look for a window.

Now that's a great idea - Walk into a hotel just like that and take the elevator - brilliant
