Beautiful, Walter. Thus could be a painting. And, to my eyes at least, the birds make the picture work.

Very nice shot! I agree with Hawg - birds provide balance to the composition. Looks like HDR?

Yes, paniolo, a 3-shot HDR and some further "tweaking" in Topaz Adjust. I, too, agree with Robert about the birds. This shot stood out from several I took that morning for that very reason.
