Default Winter in the Country

Shot in Raw during wind/snow storm. I've always admired the house and on this night with our hot chocolates in hand with Christmas Carols playing in the background the home seemed to be the perfect Christmas scene.

very nice shot, I love how you can see the snow flakes. That's always something I wanted to try and capture, now I'm gonna try.

Very well done! and I agree, it should be a Christmas Card

Actually, the snow as added after the fact. I shot it at night during a windy snow storm but you couldn't really see the snow so in PS, I added a bit back to what it was at the time of the photo.

Here's the before and after. When I shot it, there was a yellow street light to my immediate left and I forgot to compensate in adjusting my white balance ( I try to use Kelvin). It was so cold that I shot it from sitting in my car When I got home that's when I noticed my error and had to correct it. Then, I decided to dodge and burn sections (while staying true to the natural highlights) as well as add back the snow.

Here's the house during the day with a light snow fall.

Wow what a transformation, I really like the PP that you did.
How did you add the snow back in?
