Captured this shot today, as usual it was impressive to be there, the cold crisp air and the ever changing light etc. The shot is untouched and taken in landscape mode on myOly C8080. Any tips for taking sunsets in manual mode?

Regards,

Hi MVA Steve,

Hereis are somesuggestions...as you requested.

1. Underexpose your sunsets by an f stop or two.

This is why: Usually,a digital camera will overexpose a sunset.

2. Also, stick around...see how the sunset evolves over a few minutes time.

And, be inventive

Sometimes, a vertical orientation can produce a stunner especially if clouds are stacked above the land.
