This stretch of water [a large dam of + - 150 km circumference near our home] is notorious for it's high winds and rough waters. My wife and I were camping on the banksduring a very idylic Autumn, and this particular day we were greeted with this amazing, calm, tranquil scene.

Thewater is always muddy, so the brown in the reflection is the colour of the water

No PS Vito, just an old [20yr] Konica point and shoot, then scanned. Used Neatimage to remove a bit of noise [I was cleaning a cupboard out today and found some shots taken a while ago beforeI acquired my Digicam. This is probably the only "scenic" photoI had ever taken before getting my digital camera]

South Africa is a beautiful country, asI suppose any part of the world is [it has it'sfair share of beauty and ugliness]

thanx for the comments Vito, as always, very welcome and encouraging

Nice shot, but this could be even better, if you some object in the frame to put things into perspective. Also be carefull not to split an image in the middle. 1/3 to 2/3 is often a better way. But indeed a nice catch!
