this was on the way there too....sunspots in the water, uncovered really cool rocks, making brilliant colors....hopefully i captured them well (where is the digital version of velvia? lol)

here is another shot (probably the last i'm gonna post...)

that was an exposure nightmare....so i thought i'd test my PS skills.....so i took three shots....one exposing for the shadows, one for the midtones/darker highlights and one for the really brightspots (lol....shot at like 1:00.....so lotta exposure problems...)

so here is the result of all three shots pasted together, then erased parts of each layer..

enjoy

ok...i lied...one more

this is a highly saturated version of the second one....i'm thinkingi overdid it...but you be the judge...

all i did was hit "Image/Adjustments/Auto Color"..... it worked?

enjoy

(i had fun playing with this one radial blur looked pretty cool.....abstract...)

I like the first one. I can't comment on the others as all I can see is black, to much light in the room.

I like every single one of them, each for different reasons. The first I like for the look of the water, and the next three for their abstraction. Maybe the last is oversaturated when thinking of it literally as a photo, but when seeing it as a picture and not thinking of the medium, it's really quite beautiful. Whyshouldn't a photo be able to accomplish the same thing as a painting?

thanks barbara

wat's funny about the third one...is that in some spots (because of the layering and erasing of the three photos) the water is more silky that in other areas...lol

another composite.....this one didn't work as planned....i shot this one planning on just erasing the burnt out areas in the water, but then when i actually did it, you could see EXACTLY where i erased....lol...

anyway....here it is...
