i took a couple pictures while my friend and his dad were working on getting the sailboat into the water,

they look very artsy, and "emo" as kids today would call it...

Vito, you definitely have a good future ahead of you. These are really good shots. The perspective you've chosen really makes them work and deciding to present them in b/w was the right choice - color wouldn't have had the impact these have.

I like the second one's perspective the best. It's just me, I'm sure, but I would have liked to see the sock or whatever it is at the bottom of the chair's leg not in the picture.

Thanks and thanks and thanks :-)

thanks geoffs

i'm glad you like them....that sock thing is a rag of some sort....i wasn't sure if i really wanted to touch it, i don't know where it's been, lol

hey, wat else is photoshop for?

these shots screamed b/w.....and it doesn't hurt that i'm a huge fan of b/w, because of it's great effect of clouds, and textures....

thanks again for your post, and thanks for your compliments!

i appreciate it!

Very nice Vito,I'd second geoffs in that the second would be my fav (if I had to choose), but they're all very nicely done... Great job! Nice choice in B/W too (also a fav of mine). All around 'Well Done'!

Excellently taken vito. I prefer the third. The first one doesn't do it for me, you're to far away and all meaning is lost. In the second and third I see an old bloke sitting at the edge of the water reminiscing about the times he spent on the high seas. The third one clinches it because of the angle. It makes you feel small and raises the importance of the meaning (well, the meaning I'm making) behind the photograph.

Ooo, I'm getting all philosophical. I think I need to lay down.:O
