Hi Vito;

I'm the last person to be offering photography tips to anyone, but that's never stopped me before. Listen to all the critiques you can, but shoot the shots you want.

I tell my music students to learn one thing a day. It might just be one note, or a rhythm or anything that they choose for themselves, but if they learn one thing a day, by the end of a week... Taking that idea - if you take a shot you like, try to identify one thing that makes it stand out. If you don't like it, find one thing you can improve in it. Simplistic, I know, but it works in the music classroom. For some students, just deciding for themselves what they need to learn is a very empowering moment.

Vito, you've got a good eye. Trust it.

I'll shut up now... I tend to get carried away with the philosophy behind the simplest of human motivations.

Regards,

Tom, on Point Pelee, Canada

thanks tom

that philosophy makes ALOT of sense...some days here i've learned hundreds of things and some just a couple, but with the help of all the posters here, i've learned at least one thing every day!

of course, i spend ALOT of time on here...and a couple other photography sites...

thanks for sharing your wisdom

Vito
