I took this shot with an 8 second exposure, and I accidentally hit my tripod. I thought I'd wrecked the picture , but I think I lucked out and got a unique shot. Comments. Cheers.........thekman.

That is really unique. I wonder why the signs didn't get blurred It is sort of weird how parts of it were affected but not others.

I am not sure if I see any effects at all from the "quake". I see some unusual patterns in the car light trails but I think that was caused by cars changing lanes or moving around in their lanes. Effects of bumping tripod would be VERY noticeable as jagged light trails and blurring. I don't see any of it. As was pointed out by Wisconsingirl, the signs are clear. They would be blurry or qhosty if there had been movement. Either you have a very sturdy tripod or the bump occured either before the shutter opened or after it closed.

At any rate, good shot.

I thought they'd be blurred too, but the road is just crooked now, where as it is quite a bit straighter than this picture indicates. Thanks for the comments.........thekman.
