Took this in South Carolina last week. New to digital photography but I thought this one came out ok. Kind of forboding. I slapped a gallery frame effect around it for displaying on my website...

New to digital, but I haven't done much photography in a long time. Really, not much since I was in High School and that was too many years ago to admit! Thanks for the comments though, it gives me some encouragement that I am heading in the right direction.

Lovely atmospheric pic.

How old is the pier? It looks so elegant...

I don't know how old it is, exactly. The photo was taken at Myrtle Beach State Park in Myrtle Beach, S.C. Being on that part of the coast, there is a good chance it has been rebuilt at times, as that is a hurricane friendly area. My biggest regret that day, is that as I was arriving I saw three riders on horseback leaving the beach. That would have provided some great opportunities.

Thanks for the kind words.
