Cape Spear is the most easterly point in North America. I took this photo of the Cape at sunrise on December 31st. It was bitterly cold (-20 centigrade) and I was handholding my new Canon 100-400.

So far so good. I've only had a couple of days to use it and they have been very cold days. However it has performed up to expectations. Check out some of my duck shots on the wildlife site.I did a lot of homework especially considering the cost. My line of work is with wildlife so I was looking for a lens that was versitile, rugged, could be handheld and will last me a long time. I knew the 100-400 had some drawbacks but overall it met my needs. So I saved up my pennies and voila!
Happy New Year

Yes Ive seen your shots, nice. The 100-400 is out of my price range but the 100-300 usm I can get on ebay near new and a lot cheaper so Im looking at that.
