I'll try and get better pics during the weekend, but basically just to show the extent of these flowers ability to "invade". These flowers came into the country via horse feed brought in from the Argentines by the British soldiersduring the Anglo Boer war [1910 I think], and as a point of interest, the mountain at the back is the Amajuba mountain [Zulu for "place of the Doves"] where the Boers [Afrikaans] ran rings around the British, quite a prominent feature in SA history. I travelled about 400 km's yesterday, and these flowers were evident all along the roads throughout thewhole trip.

Very fond of these flowers - but can't believe the scale on which they are growing here! Given SAs wild flowers, it's probably is a bit of a conern.

Alien invaders are a real concern in any ecosystem, and these guys are no different.

But they sure are pretty.
