After a beautiful sunny spring day, some clouds started to form. We got little rain, and this spectacular bio-lightshow. I seesolar rays like these as a visualisation of hope. Like the light @ the end of the tunnel, but1000 times more arresting 8)

Captured with a Minolta Dimage Z1 + highlights of the grass increased, and noise removed from the sky.

Nicely done

With a lil boost in contrast, I would wager that this pic might do really well in greyscale (black and white) also.:idea:

The technical term for them is Crepuscular rays, here is a bit more info on them and other atmospheric optics http://www.sundog.clara.co.uk/atoptics/rayim1.htm
