Maybe10-15 minutes earlier would have been a better time from an exposure point of view ?

Yes very nice image, and yes a bit earlier may have been better.
Or try a split ND filter to knock back the sky a stop or two.

I've adjusted the white balance of your pic a tad [boosted the yellows and reds a little] See if you like it

i prefer the warmer version.. and a grad nd as peter suggested would have been helpful in this shot..

Jake - yes its the Sabie river- I am looking forward to seeing some of your KNP pictures.

I prefer your version to the original posted oneas well. I still have a lot to learn about the post processing. Guess that means i must get out there and take more pictures... :roll:

thanks for taking the time to adjust the WB.

Hards/Peter - with a split ND - how would you determine exposure ?

rely on the 20D' "auto" mode over allthe AF points ? or would you set it based on the EV value of the clear bit (ie bottom half if a split ND Is used.)

evaluative metering will work just fine with a ND.. no worries..
