That's a good viewpoint, pity about the wheel tracks in the sand though... I guess that's modern life for you !

Is it me, or does the image slope down to the left? Can't quite make up my mind, but I get that nagging feeling the image isn't straight when I look at it,

I have a house in Huntington Beach, and that's NOT a view looking north along the coast. The coastline north from the pier is very flat all the way beyond Long Beach. Perhaps you were further south in Orange County (Dana Point, Laguna, etc.) where there are cliffs.

yeah, it does seem to be listing to port a bit. forgive me for being so bold, but a quick touch with Picasa fixed that...
