For those of you familiar with Vancouver, thiswas taken from the Maplewood Flats looking across Burrard Inlet at dawn. I was hoping for a red sky, but it 'twas not to be. It was actually much darker at the time than this looks (I couldn't sleep). All those pretty lights are the Chevron refinery. Shot with the Pentax 18-55mm kit lens, at 23mm, iso 200, f/9, 2 sec. exposure (nr on). I did a slight crop, and very little levels to give it a bit more contrast. Cheers......thekman.

Great shot!
The dark masses with the clouds make it eerie and a bit abstract... In fact, if you look at it a certain way, it sort of looks like a futuristic plane flying through the clouds. I wonder how it would look tinted blue? Grant |
