These next pictures were all taken thru the windows during our 9 hour bus ride from Denali to Copper River. The road, for the most part, is unpaved and not well maintained. A lot of bumps going on - which made taking pictures very adventuresome. Fortunately we got no rain during this leg of the trip, so we did not have heavily mudded windows to contend with. When we would stop, I made sure to clean the windows I was shooting thru by borrowing the driver's step stool (she used it to help people get off and on the bus) and a bottle of Windex I brought along for just this purpose. Hubby thought I was nuts to be dragging paper towels and Windex along with us - but I learned well on our trip into Denali National Park 3 days prior. It rained the entire time then and we brought nothing to clean the bus windows - so I got very little opportunities to shoot thru the windows.

Other than cropping/resizing, these are unretouched images all taken with the Uzi.

I was actually out of the bus for this one - and I think that the plant leaves on the left of the frame are of the plant that is making all of those pinky purple blotches that you see in the larger shots.

This warning sign was on the start of the trip that we took down that road on that loooooong bus ride. The idea that we were about to spend 9 hours driving down that road tickled me - so I took this shot to show my future grand-children.

I love the way the clouds add to the looks of this one.
