It was a wet and stormy day today, but this afternoon some sun threatened to come out so I went out for my walk, and just before sunset there was a lovely stormy sky behind Brentor Church.

This is a very well known local landmark, and can be seen from just about anyplace you go around here. There's also a charming legend on how it came to be: http://members.aol.com/dartmoorlande...ntorchurch.htm

Bravo! This is great stuff John, the church silhouetted on the hill in front of that sky is awesome!

Thanks Bob, you're still the sunset-maestro around here though!

I'm not so sure about that, one thing I am sure about is how enjoyable it is sharing our love of photography with like minded folks!

this is good john... the silhouette is used well here and i am glad that you went full silhouette, i see too many that are too dark for detail but not a full silhouette, so nice work there..

the first one, i think you could have placed the building closer to the left third.. its kind of hanging out in no-mans land..

the second one i like the comp on.. this one is my favorite...
