In a normal year we don't get any snow around where I live, but today we're pretty much snowed in (the penalty for living at the top of a steep hill), and I can't ever remember that happening before.

The stupid thing is, we've still got some Autumn colour around, and as you can see below, some flowers coming into bloom in the garden.

Bit of an experiment with the presentation as well, so I hope it works OK.

Stuck somewhere in cyberspace, John.

Very cool(no pun intended)John:-).I think my favourite has to be the snowy branch(bottom centre)all are nice, however.I know how "neat"snow can be in England. As a child, growing up in Bristol,I remember how excited we would get when it did snow and actually stuck around for a couple of days.We would almost cry when the sun came out because the snow would always melt.Lovely shots!
cheers,
Andrew

Thanks for the comments Andrew: when it's like this, I think everyone turns into a small child again. It's just so much fun, always provided of course you're not one of the poor souls stuck in the traffic jams tonight!

Well here's hoping the snow works it's way over to me in Kent, South East England. We had a small flurry and then it stopped. Can't wait to get out and about and go sledging when it does arrive. I'm 28 and still haven't grown up...

Nice pictures John. I like the flowers with snow on them. I some ferns in Oregon once with snow on them. There were still green and it was the first snow of the year. I guess it just looks so out of place together. Very good shots.
