Went for a walk along the Flat River this morning and took the Nikon D50 and Tamron 24-135 along. This view looked so serene, so I shot a few pics. Wish the clouds had cleared to let the morning sky through, but clear sky in Michigan in late November is rare. The D50 is growing on me... I miss some quick features that were on the FZ20.

I like that, the colours in the grassed contrast nicely with the black and white of the rest of scene. Have you though about converting to b&w though? It would be interesting to compare the two.

Regards, John.

Hi John, Here is a black and white version of the same scene.

Interesting, I hope you don't mind, but I had a go at b&w conversion as well. I'm not sure it's any better though, just different :-)

John.

I like the bolder contrast in your b/w version. The grass shows up better and the limbs farther down river look more detailed.

Today it is raining, and thereis a heavy fog. The snow will be gone shortly!
