Haven't been able to take many photos latley. I was looking in the archives and found this misty morning shot from earlier this year with a Olympus 740 UZ. I posted a shot earlier of this same bird standing in the water and this was taken a few minutes later just as it took off. Resized, converted to greyscale, levels adjustment in Corel photo paint and noise removal with Neat image.

Quite unusual to see a wildlife shot in b&w, but I think this one works rather well, it brings out the atmosphere nicely.

Thanks John and kman! I think these birds look like pterodactyls, this photo could be of a prehistoric setting.

Nice shot. It is usually hard under the light conditions to get a shutter speed fast enough to freeze the wings. Usually the ISO is so high that it is very noisy. Nice job.
