In a typical Izmir afternoon, it's a very customary sight seeing people sitting by the sea and eating sunflower seeds while gazing the sea for a loooong looong time...

Wonderful image! I would love to do what these folks are doing, I have only seen a ocean once in my 50 plus years.

Oh, you can't mean it, Bob! For someone who got used to living by the sea, it is almost impossible to move to a city without it. Besides, these are the words from someone who loves mountains and wheatfields sooo much; myself :-)

Ahhh, the ocean...I love the smell, the sounds of waves breakingon shore, the relax mood it brings to people. You've got a great composition here, bahadir! The art work really adds interest to a common scene. I like it!

Ken, I am happy to share the admiration with you whom I know to be from a very beautiful harbour city. Maybe Auckland is one of these 'sister' cities of Izmir. I must check it out:-)
Btw, your new avatar, still preserving the Panasonic
patriotism, looks really nice!
