here is another one.

I darkened this one up a tad in photoshop to give it that silhouette type thing going on I hope it works.

Nice pics, bodge. Personally, I think there's a happy medium for post-processing somewhere between your 2 photos. The second one looks a bit over the top with the contrast/saturation levels, but you could boost the saturation on the first one just a little without making it look unnatural.

Cheers,
Ollie

I agree, the first pic is the winner here.I take a fair amount of cloud pics and enjoy seeing unusual formations and changing colors.

I took some similiar to #1a little earlier that I will post in a bit.

Thanks for the commnets ollie and vp

I agree the first pic could do with a boost to give that little bit more so ive done a quick edit and took out the telegreph lines as well.

The second i wasn't that sure about and i agree the first is the better of the two.

here is the first pic boosted and lines taken out have i gone over the top or is okay.
or even boost it a little more ummm just dunno

thanks bodge

I like the first edit better, mainly due to the lesser contrast on the horizon.

Although you did a good job changing that sunset, my preference is always for the real thing, with as little PP as possible.

Second shot is definitely badly overprocessed and looks completely unnatural.

I prefer not doing post processing except resizing:

What "angry"?
This is more what I would call as one: http://www.extremeinstability.com/05-5-10.htm

I totally agree with both of your comments, VP. Those storm shots are pretty incredible. That's an angry sky for sure!!!
