one of the few weather phenomena we have in the desert is the summer dust storm. usually they result from monsoon storms that form in the desert and kick up walls of dust that can reach several thousand feet in height. although it's a little early in the season, a huge one just hit Phoenix. not sure if it will be visible, but you might be able to see the wedge of dust as it blows thru downtown

Very interesting serial, in the sense of documentaries, drewaz. Yes, the wedge of dust is quite visible. The idea of having to face it... how exciting it would be!
And in the second shot it seems the dust storm has swept the whole downtown except for a few buildings remaining erect:G
