I headed into our local farmland area today. I don't get to this area very often. Came across this old farm machine in a pasture that was on the road (the 2nd shot). I thought these would be better in black and white....cheers........Don.

Don, the second one is just nice but the first one is superb! An appealing pastoral theme reinforced by a very good composition, use of DOF and tonal arrangement...You can safely submit it anywhere as a Photo of the Day candidate, IMO :-)

Good morning Don! This is a case where b/w really makes for a outstanding photograph, #1 is excellent in my book! Can't put my finger on it but #2 reminds me of a scene from my younger days, kinda of a deja vu thing, hope you make it out to the farmland area more often!

Thanks Bill, Bahadir, John and Bob. I'd like to spend some time roaming out there. These were just a couple of scenes I happened to drive by on the way to the bird sanctuary. Would be nice to see a fall sunrise or sunset with all the fog and mist that happens here.......cheers.....Don.

Thanks Goomer. I'm heading east to Castlegar and the Kooteneys next week, and hope to get some country shots. There's all kinds of old interesting buildings and derelict machinery lying about in the interior.....cheers...Don.
