I took these about a year apart using a 3 megapixel Olympus 740 on the sunset and my D-50 on the daytime photo. What a difference a few months and the time of day make to the same setting.

Out of these comparative two, the first one outweighs with this very unusual checked pattern in the evening sky, which I'd even call a wonder of celestial design :-)
You surely had your 3mp Olympus make a very decent job. Well done!

Thanks guys! The first shot is one of my personal favorites, the vapor trails left by the jets really make the sunset look cool.

I love the first one! The second one is good also. You should try for a thrid shot at the same time of day as the first in the different seasons. I would be a great comparision.

Hi Bahadir, this winter shot was taken with the Oly 740 also. I think to date the 740 has been my favorite camera I have ever owned.
