The air was so thick you could cut it with a knife, the haze filtered the sun enough that it was easy to look at and made the morning bicycle ride with my camera worth the effort.

Great shot Bob! I particularly like the sky in this one..it looks like brush strokes.

Hi Goomer! Thank you very much! Except for the heat I wish we had more mornings like this one. I hope all is well up in Kamloops!

Great capture, and I really like the composition.

The only improvement you probably could have done is take a second shot, exposing for the barn, and do an HDR to combine the two.

Thank you Rey! I'll give your suggestion a try next time we have a good looking sunrise, this place is just down the road from our place.

beautiful shot, Bob... i love seeing the ball of the sun low on the horizon, and the soft, misty feel of the light... has a very serene, peaceful feeling to it.

Thanks squirl! Lots of times when I am out taking sunrise photos especially in summer when it's really early and quiet I think to myself how peaceful it is being out with hardly anyone stirring. I don't know about anyone else but I need that peaceful quiet time before the daily grind starts.

You really know you are looking at a great photo when feel as if you are there and can sense the moment. Great shot which I half suspect to see on a calender some day.
