Here just some of my quickly edited / processed photos from last night's aurora borealis -phenomenon. These photos come from Oulu city (Nallikari), Finland.

A shooting star and aurora borealis all in one photo, what a luck! Once in a lifetime moment perhaps..














Too bad I don't own a really wide lens like Peleng (8mm), as this phenomenon filled the whole sky to such a spectacular show of color and light that I have never ever seen before.. pictures just don't do justice.

I can see what you mean That's really aunique phenomenon which you captured and shared with us. Besides the green reflections on the sea which is fascinating, I also foundthe hand-like formation in the sky (in the fifth one)astonishing!

yeah very good.....hope grainyness is just on the small ones posted here though !. really good with the shooting star, would like to someday see it for real they say u can see it from northern scotland but it wont look like that !! so if i get rich ill visit finland just to see it and take pics

Wow, those are awesome pics. I love #1. I saw it once, also called 'The Northern Lights' here in Michigan, USA. It was more purple when I saw it.
