Default Back roads

Pam and I just returned from a 2 week drive to the Dallas area and back to visit her family. Stayed off the Interstates and saw some amazing scenery. Will share a few shots as I get time. Meanwhile, best wishes for the New Year to each of you.

Great picture of the two of you Walter.
All the way to Dallas? thats a lot of backroads. I can relate to what you say though. The two out of town destinations I frequent the most I have really appreciated taking the long way and stopping at anything that looks interesting.
Too often we get in such a hurry to just get there, that we often miss those things that we fly right by. Plus, if your into photography as we are it makes a lot of sense to take the long road.
Looking forward to viewing your discoveries.

Happy new year to you also.

Thanks, Mike. We both needed the unhurried trip and time to take in the scenery, food at little cafe spots, etc.
