Out of curiousity...does anyone know how much video i can take with a SD 2.0 Gig Sandisk Card, or 2Gig in general? I would be recording in 640x480 I beleive. I dont have a video cam, and i want to record this show tommorrow. Might be an 1hr- 1hr 30mins...

That will depend on the camera, as you have a variety of formats that are used to store video.

I see where you asked about an A610 in another post. I don't see a chart for that one in our review. But, it uses the same AVI format as the S3 IS.

Judging from the chart for the S3 IS in it's review here, it looks like you can store about 4 minutes and 6 seconds on a 512MB card in it's highest quality video mode (640x480 at 30fps). So, you could probably expect around 16 or 17 minutes on a 2GB card.

Depending on the lighting conditions, you may or may not be pleased with the results though (because the camera will need to amplify the signal significantly from the sensor in low light, which will increase noise). You don't mention what kind of "show" you're talking about it. But, recording is frowned up on many venues (and may even be illegal, depending on where and what you're trying to record). So, don't be surprised if you're escorted out.
