I have a Canon A540 and I'm looking to get a bigger card now. I'm looking at 256mb and 512mb only now. I saw many deals such as:

-512MB Sandisk Ultra Speed II for 35$
-Verbatim 256MB card for 15$
-Nexxtech 256MB for 25$
-Sandisk 256MB for 23.99
-512MB Sandisk for 50$

They all vary in prices, but the first deal is interesting. A faster card offered at a cheaper price than the slower one, raises some suspicion doesn't it?

I also saw Wal-Mart's site in Canada, they offer a Lexar 512MB for 29$ and a Kodak memory card for 32$. The Lexar is a 60X.

I don't know what ##X speed is good for a Canon A540. Can someone please help out this memory card newbie?
