Default CompactFlash 12X or 40X?

I just bought an S400 and was interested in upgrading the memory. I understand that some of the memory cards offer higher transfer speeds, and I am comparing the Lexar CompactFlash (12X) to the Lexar Compact Flash Pro (40X). Will the 40X offer significantly shorter lag time between photos (or other advantages), or will the 12X be sufficient? Thanks for any feedback you can provide.

12x is sufficient for this camera. The s400 does not have any capability for storing large file such as tiff or raw to really make use of the faster card. Smaller jpeg pictures files can be buffered by the camera to overcome the speed of the slower cards... 8)
