TRYING TO FIND OUT THE NUMBER OF PHOTOS THAT CAN BE PUT ONTO A 128 OR 256KB SECURE DIGITAL CARD AT HIGH RES AND AT LOW RES . 3.2MEGAPIXAL CAMERA IS BEING USED (HP 735)

The manual should tell you, they normally publish a table at the back
The actual file size will vary depending on picture detail, and the amount of compression they are fixing in both modes. High res. could be about 1.3 Mbyte per pic - that's around 100 pics on a 128Mb card. Low res., depending on what they mean, could be 400+ pics on a 128Mb card. The only pics worth really bothering about, are the high res. ones - memory is cheap, you rarely go back to re-take a shot a second time. |

It depends on the camera and the pictures themselves. I recently put 375 pictures from my 3.1 MP camera into a 256 MB memory card. They were all high resolution and their sizes ranged from 400 KB to 1.4 MB with the average size being probably 700 KB.
