I use SanDisk Ultra II CFs with my Canon XT and have good results with them (haven't lost a picture yet). A 2GB version is a third of the price when I bought it 2 years ago. You may want to get more than one if you plan to save images as RAW or RAW+JPEG with the camera.

I went with the SanDisk Ultra II 2.0GB Card I paid $29.99 from staples for it after a in-store instant rebate. All their SanDisk Memory cards were 50% for today only, plus the instant reabte.

My Sanyo E1 will be here on tuesday so I'll let you know how the card works for doing video.
